Have an instrument gathering dust?
During my time with both Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire music service I was heavily involved in the evolution of large group adult learning. Using American band methods to progressively teach in an ensemble environment. The method allows multi-instrumental learning from scratch with no prior music education. Learn with your friends or even your family in larger groups with personal help but the motivation of learning with others. This is a fun and motivating method of learning which suit lots of adults who prefer not to be in a one2one situation. This also makes music lessons a lot more affordable.
For many years I have conducted many adult concert orchestras, finely balancing education and performance for adults. An example of my success would be within the Avon Wind Band Association. Westerly winds and Apollo Wind orchestras have booth grown considerable under my baton delivering both instrumental tuition on mass and performance opportunities including stage performances.
This is available to anyone over the age of 18 unless a parent or guardian is also learning.
I hold a waiting list for these groups and once I reach 10 pupils a new group can be arranged.
