Teacher/Conductor/Performer
Who is Andy Loveridge?
Ever since the age of nine, my life has been consumed by music, teaching it, performing it and conducting it. From the first day I picked up a cornet in a brass band and blow my first note (I am not sure it could be described as a note!) I knew that music would be my life.
Cornet/trumpet was my initial instrument, starting on 3rd cornet in a brass band through to principle which led to many years leading the trumpet sections in various dance/big bands and 11 years as lead trumpet for the Gloucestershire youth Jazz orchestra with featured performances for our now King Charles at Highgrove in Gloucestershire. The Jazz orchestra took me all over the UK and Europe on tours with many album recordings.
